Each one of us, except a few find it difficult to make their kids adjust to the school in the initial phases. My daughter went to play school only until I accompanied her and after that I could see that she has been crying a lot and I stopped sending her. Where as a neighboring girl six months elder to my daughter never had any problem from day one! At that time I felt the reason might be our language. We speak in Kannada at home and had moved to Hyderabad just one year back. But later I found that is not the reason for her discomfort. When I put her to Nursery in Bachpan a year later, she adjusted within a week and though she hesitated in the initial weeks, later she went without much problem. By the time she came to LKG, I put her in Laurus and she went for only two days and refused to go. Then I put her back in Bachpan and she started going happily from Day one, and the timings were 9 to 2pm. Few kids go happily from day one and few don’t, so what do we do about it. Let me share...

Kaaranji Kere in Mysore is one of my favourite places for hanging around these days. This is a perfect place to enjoy the nature at its best. This is near to Mysore Zoo. Any city bus going to Mysore zoo or Chamundi hills will take you to this place. This summer when I went to Mysore, I had been to this place with my daughter Anagha, cousin sister vani and her kids Meghana and Varun. Its calm and not so crowded thus a perfect picnic point. The attractions are boating, beautiful birds like white peacock etc, there is a butter fly park which I have not visited yet!

Anagha wins her first prize of her life in Running Race.. at the age 3. She is a student of Nursery in Bachpan School, Nizampet, Hyderabad. As a part of children's day celebration they had conducted Sports day on 11th November and they distributed prize on 12th.

I had this poster in my home during my college days. I was really inspired by it. I can read it N number of times, and still I wont get bored.. Kyaa hogi Utharan? This is one of the interesting serials aired by Colors TV. Jogi Thakur, Divya, Veer, Tapasya and Damini really look like the characters themselves. I just went through their real life photos and was taken aback looking at the kind of dress Divya and Damini are wearing.! Anyway thats were the difference lies. Now coming to the story.. Tapasya is the daughter of Jogi Thakur and Ichch is the daughter of Damini, the housemaid at Jogi Thakur. Jogi feels he is responsible for the death of Ichcha's father and to come out of that guilt, has helped Ichcha and her mother hugely. Almost treats Ichcha like her daughter. Ichcha is very obedient and thankful to Thakur's family. She has promised her mother she will never make Tapasya feel bad. Tapasya has been using Ichcha's friendship for her own benefits. Finally Tapasya rejects the proposal of Veer because she is in love with Sid. But later when Veer proposes Ichcha she starts feeling jelous and finally marries Veer...

17th January, 2009, Saturday. This was one of the best Saturday's ever. We took Anagha to Rajan's house after a long gap. Rucha, Rajan's wife is very well aware of Children's psychology. So she made sure she would not come and jump at Anagha as soon as she sees her, and also had cautioned Rajan to sit quitely until Anagha herself will go near them. So Anagha felt very comfortable, she did not feel its somebody else's place. And she felt safe that this Aunt and Uncle will not bother me. So she started playing. She enjoyed the stay with them so much, she enjoyed for the whole day. She called Rajan as Maama, she would call him to give the Pomegrenate seed. I dont know how many times she made him get up and come to her, just to recieve one seed of pomegranate from her every time. We took her to the near by park, which had various play options for kids of her age. She enjoyed sitting and playing in all those. For the first time we made her sit in the Sand. She enjoyed th...
